Walk With God 2012

Cost is $7 per attendee which includes lunch and a patch.

Online registration will open August 1 and close September 22 or when the limits of Scouts and family members are reached. Pre-registration is REQUIRED. No on-site registrations will be accepted.

What is the “Walk With God Hike”?  

Picture the President of a Synagogue that was burned in 1967 during the Arab/Israeli war, standing at the altar of historic St. Joseph's in Trenton with a Catholic Bishop and the Imam of one of the largest Mosques in Southeastern Michigan. They are talking to the Scouts about the common concepts that bind Judaism, Christianity, and Islam together. Then these Scouts with their parents and siblings walk through five churches and a synagogue learning about the different faiths. Our theme is God Bless America. The event, scheduled for Saturday September 29, 2012, is open to all Scouts – Boy Scouts (Tigers and up) and girls in the Girl Scouting program and American Heritage Girls, their families and siblings.  This event is a joint program of the Girl Scouts Religious Relations Committee and Boy Scouts Religious Activities Committee.

Because of the small size of many of the faith communities, this event will be limited to 500 Scouts and 500 family members.
