Cole Canoe Base is constantly re-inventing ways to keep todays ever changing youth active in the outdoors. Our program is "High Adventure for the 21st Century."Providing activities for the Scout that is new to the program all the way up to Venturers and Sea Scouts that "Have tried everything." Our camp parallels programs found at national Boy Scout camps for a fraction of the price. Cole boasts a 98% unit return rate, one of the highest in the nation. As an "A rated" nationally accredited camp since it was renamed over 30 years ago, Cole Canoe Base strives for one thing and one thing only: Safe, Quality, Fun Filled Programming!

Cole Canoe Base has 14 tent sites and 1 winterized cabin (White Pines--a 24 capacity) that are available to rent for off season camping.

Cole Canoe Base is for Boy Scout troops, Venturing crews, and Explorer posts including co-ed units.

*White Pines:

This beautiful cabin includes cooking facilities, sleeping for 24 (in 2 bunk rooms of 12), 2 seperate toilet and shower facilities inside and an atomsphere that is north country lodge. Come north and try this great facility. This cabin can be reserved for weekends in September through the first week in June, except for weekends that occur during November 15 through the 30.

Canoeing & Equipment Rental Fees

Cole Canoe Base has a total of 100 canoes for rent. Canoes may be reserved for any trip until all canoes are rented. Most canoes will carry two people. Some canoes may hold three people to act as relief person in case of injury or accident. 50% of the per canoe per day fee is due at the time of reservation. The fees are refundable up to 30 days prior to use. No refund will be given after that date. Extra canoes are available and maybe paid for at the regular fee up arrival. Canoe fees will be included in the fee of the campsite.
