Canoeing Trips

North Landing Trip: Scouts wishing to take a one day trip down the Rifle River will enjoy the North Landing Trip. Starting upstream, canoeists will take approximately five hours to paddle down to the Base. This trip is only available on Saturdays. The fee is $5.50 per person and includes: paddles, personal flotation devices, and transportation of canoes. Transportation of individuals is the responsibility of the unit.

The Big Run: Older Scouts may wish to take the challenge of The Big Run. The Big Run starts at the North Landing trip on Saturday, but Scouts camp at Cole Canoe Base and continue down the river on Sunday to M-70 Bridge. The fee for this adventure is only $10.00 per person, and includes: canoes, paddles, personal flotation devices, and transportation of canoes to the North Landing and retun to Cole Canoe Base on Sunday. Transportation of the canoeist is the responsibility of the unit.

Special Trips: Special trips may be arranged by contacting the at least two weeks (14 days) prior to the proposed trip.
