Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts
BB-Gun Range: Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts can enjoy the thrill of BB shooting under the supervision of the qualified shooting sports staff. The range is open on Saturdays during weekend programming.
Archery Range: The excitement of learning a new skill is available at the Cub Scout Archery Range. The bow and arrow is part of our history and this is a great way to build self confidence regardless of age. Our staff is there to make it safe while being fun.
Lonesome Pine Shooting Sports Complex
Boy Scouts, Venturers, Varsity Scouts, and Explorers
Rifle Range: BSA national standard .22 caliber range is open Saturdays throughout the weekend camping season. A staff of NRA certified instructors are present. This is a quality shooting program, providing fun through instruction and safety. Enjoy testing and improving your rifle skills.
Skeet Range (shotgun): Is open most weekends on a walk-in basis. Cost for 5 shots is $3.00/25 Shots for $12 (icludes shells, clays, gun rental, instruction, ranger officers) and fees are payable on site. All adults are welcome to try their skills, or pick up some pointers.
Archery Range: The exciting and silent sport of archery is available each weekend. Archery is an excellent way to build self-confidence while having fun. Qualified staff will help you lear about this challenging sport.
Shooting Sports for merit badge or NRA Marksman Program
Available on Sundays only. A minimum of eight shooters is required with a maximum of 16. Shooting time is from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Shooters are required to help clean guns (a merit badge requirement) from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
Rifle shooting time is limited--shotgun includes 25 rounds. Additional shotguns are available.
