The main objective of the Family Camp program is for you and your family to have fun. Rain or shine there is plenty to do at Family Camp. Throughout the summer we have hoedown parties, fishing contests, sing-a-longs, softball games, campfires, and movies nights. Daily programs include recreational swimming, boating, horseback riding, crafts, climbing/bouldering, hikes, supervised shooting sports, hay rides, star gazing, and nature walks. Families can participate in all, some or none of these activities. Your time is your own at Family Camp.

Family Summer Camp is a 3 day / 2 night camping experience held at the Great Lakes Council’s 1700 acre camp in Metamora, MI known as D-bar-A Scout Ranch. This is an exciting camp that is geared for the whole family spending a weekend together, with programs that are age appropriate for all in attendance; and is all inclusive (programs, food service, and entertainment).

The Great Lakes Council will be offering four different sessions to help accommodate the whole family. Each session will be limited to the first 1,250 guests.
